Lapolen Ecotek is the latest technological advancement in compound production, created using recycled materials. Developed through a partnership between Lapo Compound and a startup specializing in recycling and material production, this compound is designed for green applications.
The process begins with polylaminates, where cellulose is extracted from paper mills. The remaining polymer and aluminium are combined to create granules that Lapo Compound blends with virgin polypropylene, rubber, and additives, resulting in Lapolen Ecotek, a versatile compound suitable for various applications.
From a technical standpoint, Lapolen Ecotek achieves impressive physical and mechanical performance, rivalling traditional polypropylene compounds. It surpasses stringent automotive industry tests in terms of dimensional stability, heat resistance, scratch resistance, and weather resistance.
Additionally, thanks to the aluminium content, Lapolen Ecotek can exhibit a “glittery” appearance, making it ideal for eye-catching products with a direct nod to circular economy principles.
This innovative technology not only represents a significant technological leap but also aligns with sustainability goals. By repurposing materials that would otherwise end up in landfills, Lapolen Ecotek contributes to a 100% recyclable product cycle.
